DAY 1 · AFTER DARK

First, see the lanterns
come to life.
After an afternoon in the old town, evening fish lanterns bring another side of Huizhou into view: glowing paper, moving silhouettes and the life of the village.
Watch the lanterns on your first evening. On Day 2, sit down with a brush and paint a smaller fish lantern of your own.
The photograph shows a festival in Zhanqi. The lantern arrangements for your visit depend on your dates; a festival procession is not guaranteed.

Where does the journey start and end?
The itinerary starts with pickup at Shexian North or Huangshan North station and ends with a transfer for your onward train on Day 3. Confirm your train times and the transfer arrangements with us before buying tickets.
What does the price include?
The itinerary describes the planned experiences and meal stops. Ask us to confirm exactly which accommodation, meals, transfers, entrance tickets, guiding and craft materials are included in your quote. We’ll also confirm any additional charges before you book.
Do we do all three craft workshops?
You choose one of the three craft options for Day 3. Fish lantern painting is a separate experience on Day 2. Share your preference when you enquire so we can check arrangements.
Are the lanterns and performances available every day?
Performance schedules and workshop availability need checking for your travel dates. We confirm the planned activities and discuss any changes with you before booking.
Can children or guests with mobility needs join?
Please share ages, walking needs and any other requirements. We’ll check workshop suitability and the walking arrangements before recommending the trip for your group.
What if our plans change?
Request the deposit, cancellation, refund and date-change terms with your quote. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking or require payment.
